ABOUT US

PRAGMATIC MINDFULNESS IS AN INTEGRATIVE MENTAL WELLBEING PROGRAM

Meet Patrice PGCert. BSc (HONS) Dip. Hyp., the creator and facilitator behind Pragmatic Mindfulness. As a licensed and accredited integrative wellness therapist, Patrice is deeply committed to helping people reconnect to themselves and live more fully — mentally, emotionally, physically, and spiritually. She knows that healing isn’t one-size-fits-all, so she takes a personalised approach to every client, combining proven techniques with compassionate guidance tailored to where you are in your journey.

At the core, Pragmatic Mindfulness is dedicated to the Zinn Kabat’s nine mindfulness attitude principles of non-judging, patience, beginner's mind, trust, non-striving, acceptance, letting go, generosity and gratitude.

In a world that’s moving faster than our nervous systems can keep up with, it’s no wonder so many of us feel overwhelmed, burnt out, or stuck in survival mode. I created Pragmatic Mindfulness to meet that exact moment — a space where Eastern wisdom and Western therapeutic tools meet to support real people with real-life challenges. The modalities I draw from include Somatic Experiencing (body-based trauma release), Polyvagal Theory (nervous system regulation), NARM (NeuroAffective Relational Model for complex trauma), MBSR and MBCT (evidence-based mindfulness), Ericksonian Hypnotherapy, Parts Therapy, and energy-based techniques like Quantum Touch and Reiki. These energetic practices help move what talk therapy can’t always reach — gently shifting blocked or stuck emotional energy so deeper healing can unfold. This multimodal approach was born from my own lived experience - years of trying to show up fully and share my voice and perspective in spaces where that was often seen as inconvenient. In my personal and social circles, I frequently felt unseen or misunderstood, coming up against subtle (and not-so-subtle) forces that expected me to shrink to fit the status quo. And while this was less overt in my corporate life, the same underlying patterns showed up: doing excellent work but being overlooked for promotions, being gaslit about why, or sitting just outside the “inner circle.” It became clear that what I was navigating in my personal life was simply being mirrored in my professional world. I knew I deserved better, that I could be better and it was up to me to figure out how. Through deep personal enquiry, mentorship, professional training, and a whole lot of trial (and painful error), I came to understand that mindset work alone wasn’t going to cut it. Real, lasting change requires healing at the level of the body, the nervous system, and most importantly, the mind and soul, where the unspoken stories we carry silently take root. These stories shape our beliefs, our self-worth, how we show up in the world and what the world reflects back to us. With this understanding, I’ve spent the past decade fine-tuning this approach through real-world application as a trauma-experienced, trauma-informed wellness practitioner, corporate analyst and consultant, mindfulness facilitator, and breath and meditation coach. Now, I devote my energy to helping people heal from the inside out - not just cope, but truly reconnect. If you’re carrying chronic stress, burnout, anxiety, low self-worth, or the emotional weight of narcissistic abuse or codependency, you’re not broken - but something needs to shift. My 8-week programmes and one-off sessions offer a grounded, compassionate space to untangle what’s weighing you down, release what no longer serves you, and remember the version of yourself you may have forgotten - the one that’s always been there. Pragmatic Mindfulness stands out for its simplicity, integrity, and for finding the power in embracing our imperfections. This isn’t about chasing perfection or avoiding discomfort - it’s about learning to meet yourself honestly, with curiosity and compassion. You’ll leave with practical, embodied tools to help you navigate life with more awareness, resilience, intuition, and a deeper connection to your purpose. I bring a warm, intuitive, and grounded presence to every session. My style is collaborative, conversational, and gently challenging - offering just the right mix of safety and stretch. Above all, I hold space for self-trust, transformation, and the kind of growth that feels like coming home to yourself.

Imagine the best version of you

OUR
PHILOSOPHY

Stress, anxiety, depression, addiction, trauma, overwhelmed, people-pleasing, dysfunctional relationship patterns, self-sabotage, low self-esteem, chronic pain... These are all manifestations deeply rooted in the subconscious mind, manifesting as contracted stress within our bodies and disrupting our nervous system, leading to daily suffering. While talk therapy may address wounds from past adverse experiences through the conscious mind, and indeed this can be useful, it often overlooks limiting beliefs in the subconscious and stored stress in our bodies, much like discussing a broken leg without addressing its healing.

Pragmatic Mindfulness transcends the limitations of traditional therapies. It's a transformational journey crafted from the perspective of your unique lived experience. Understanding that we are multifaceted beings shaped by our environment, it acknowledges the increasing challenges we face in our daily lives. Therefore, when a one-size-fits-all therapy approach falls short in addressing our deeply rooted issues expressed through thoughts, feelings, body sensations, and actions, it leads to anxiety, procrastination, unhealthy relationships, substance dependencies, performance issues, depression, and psychosomatic illnesses, leaving us feeling powerless and unfulfilled. This is where Pragmatic Mindfulness is so uniquely powerful and impactful. By blending leading mental health practices with cutting-edge cognitive neuroscience-based mindfulness techniques, we've crafted a therapeutic approach that not only caters to your individual needs but also effectively releases deeply embedded root causes of trauma from both the body and subconscious mind. This release leads to the collapse and resolution of longstanding issues, as the underlying causes are significantly diminished. It creates space for new cognitive insights and awareness, which our approach harnesses to provide practical tools for immediate application and tangible results. We always realign to the Zinn Kabat 9 mindfulness attitude principles of non-judging, patience, beginner's mind, trust, non-striving, acceptance, letting go generosity and gratitude in this work. The embodiment of these principles through our practise leads to profound self-realization, healing, meaningful connections, and personal growth. Thereby facilitating profound inner transformation; empowering individuals to thrive in every aspect of their lives. Those who have experienced the Pragmatic Mindfulness journey have reported a release of “heaviness” and a deep connection with their inner selves, empowering them to make once-unthinkable lifestyle changes. They've embraced gratitude, joy, and compassion, becoming resilient in the face of life's challenges. They no longer crumble at obstacles but embrace them character sculpting opportunities for growth, infusing resilience in their spiritual beings. As a result, the energy vibration of their realities begin to expand, elevate and align with their heightened inner state.
